i’m sarah.

CEO & Director of FlorYoga. I’ve been teaching yoga for over 3 decades & have studied under some of the greatest yoga masters in the world including Rodney Yee, Bikram Choudhury, Baron Baptiste, Richard Freeman, John Friend, Deb Flashenberg, Lois Nesbitt, and Sandra Sommerfield-Kozak. My teaching techniques and school curriculum emphasize safe practice, meticulous alignment, modifications for everyBODY, fun, curated playlists, and the wisdom of the Sutras. I also specialize in pre and postnatal yoga, as well as private yoga instruction.

In 1997, I opened the first-ever Manhattan Hot Yoga studio, Yoga Connection TriBeCa, where I stayed for seven years. During my time in NYC, and now in Jersey City, I have had the great honor to teach the NY Football Giants for 2 years, the USA Junior Olympic Ice Skating team, NBA athletes, and the traveling cast of Les Miserables. I have also run programs and worked on-site at Kenneth Cole Design, Sony Music Entertainment, JP Morgan Chase, and RWJ Barnabas Health.

I am currently teaching group classes at Powerflow Jersey City and Sol Spirit Yoga for groups and with private clients. Since 2005, my team has been offering Yoga Alliance-accredited Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training and Pre/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training, graduating over 700 new teachers into the Yoga world as of 2026.
