Diana Barrion: assistant director of teacher training; ryt, RPYT & social media

Diana Barrion

Diana sought out a yoga practice during her time in college and likes to tell everyone she meets that yoga changed her life, even if it sounds cliché. She completed her first 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training in January 2021 & her 85-hour Prenatal/Slow Flow Yoga Teacher Training in May 2022 with Sarah Marsh of FlorYoga.

It is thanks to her teachers, Sarah Marsh, Chelsey Forbes, Jeff Scios and much of the FlorYoga and Powerflow Yoga communities, that she continues to love living in the seat of the student. Her classes focus on that continued dedication to learning, moving with the breath and moving THE breath, as well as going back to postural foundations. In her classes, you can dig into her progressive sequence building, and themes tied to the seasons. To Diana, a communal practice is conversational, an exchange of information between student and teacher, because that's how we learn! She has joined the FlorYoga and Sol Spirit Teacher Training staff, and is now working to give new teachers their unique voice using her deep instinct to lift others.

Isabella Robertozzi

Isabella has been practicing yoga since 2016. After tearing her ACL while playing soccer, Isabella was searching for a low-impact exercise that would still challenge her strength and stamina. However, it was the development of her mental resilience and spiritual well-being that led her to pursue yoga as a lifestyle and complete her 200-hour teacher training and subsequently, her Prenatal 85-hour training with FlorYoga. Isabella is passionate about the impact of yoga on mental health, and wishes to share with her community how to use yoga to build self-regulation. Isabella provides a creative sequence of traditional poses that result in a challenging power flow, fit with modifications to ensure students of all levels feel the most empowered on their mat.  Above all else, she is committed to creating an all-inclusive, non-intimidating environment, for beginners, seasoned yogis, and everyone in between. Isabella is a happy, positive person that invites you to join her regardless of how you're showing up on that given day. She promises to have you leaving class with clarity, feeling more present, patient, and energized.

chelsey forbes: private, semi-private & group yoga instructor

Chelsey Forbes

Upon being diagnosed with Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 7, I began practicing yoga as a way to relieve constant aches and pains. Like many, it began as a very physical and demanding challenge. When I met my first teacher, Sarah Marsh, I began to immerse myself in the teachings and was able to connect healing the body with the breath and awareness. Developing a vigorous practice was inevitable, so I then began to practice with Jeffrey Scios, who saw me as a teacher before I even thought about taking my practice to that level. After every class, I would leave feeling simultaneously broken and whole, and he would simply say to me “Chelsey, it’s working.” .

I teach yoga for the transformational benefits it provides through the integration of community, self-study, and infinite expansion. My practice is a culmination of techniques from various lineages that I continue to study and live by. By committing to personal wellness through yoga, observing the seasons, and the cyclical nature of our lives and circumstances, I feel that we are both individually and collectively able to serve others with gratitude and joy.

Janine jpeg.JPG

janine diangelo: private & group yoga, kids yoga & corporate yoga

Janine, RYT, began practicing yoga to help relieve stress as she adjusted to a busy life in New York City. Always trying to perfect the balancing act of working long hours in the advertising industry with her personal life, she found an anchor in yoga and soon after meditation. By practicing yoga and meditation, she felt a deep connection to herself that she had never felt before, helping her work through anxiety and stress that was starting to plague her as she navigated through her journey. Yoga became a way of life- giving her the ability to look deep into herself, to help find out who she truly was and to be that best version of herself in all facets of life. She found herself wanting to learn more and more, taking workshop after workshop, finally feeling a strong calling to share these gifts with others as she deepened her practice. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in the fall of 2017 and has a passion for helping others de-stress and find clarity in their everyday life as she did. Janine currently continues her journey in advertising and marketing, as well as sits on the board of a non-profit yoga organization, Hosh, helping to make wellness accessible to the people that need it most.
